In the 2024 Q3 World Bank Remittance Prices Worldwide quarterly survey, sending USD 200 from the United States to Armenia carried a median total cost of 6.79% and an average total cost of 6.60% of the amount sent. Total cost in this survey combines two components: the explicit transfer fee charged by the provider and the exchange-rate margin, which is the difference between the mid-market rate and the rate applied to the transaction.

Across the 11 providers surveyed in that 2024 Q3 snapshot, total costs ranged from a low of 2.03% to a high of 10.81%, reflecting a spread of more than 8 percentage points between the cheapest and most expensive options surveyed. MoneyGram was the cheapest surveyed provider in that specific quarterly data collection; because surveys are conducted periodically, pricing relationships among providers may have shifted since that reference date.

Costs within any corridor can vary depending on the payment method used, such as bank account or debit card, and the payout method available to the recipient. The send amount also affects the percentage cost in some cases. The World Bank updates this survey each quarter, so figures are tied to the 2024 Q3 collection date. The per-provider table below reflects those same dated survey quotes.
